MUJI FLAGSHIP STORE

9700 SQ FT OF CUSTOM STAINED OAK FLOORING

We worked with the design team of the Muji Flagship store in downtown Portland’s historic Meier & Frank building to source materials that matched the design intent as well as the project’s budget and schedule.

This project was a complicated installation because we were working with 3 different colors intersecting at angles that helped delineate the store’s different departments. This required a high level of coordination with the General Contractor but our team’s diligent communication throughout the project ensured a smooth installation.

Wood flooring requires variation no greater than 1/8 inch in 10 feet and the existing subfloor was out of tolerance, but our team was able to level the entire subfloor and install 1900 sq ft of Tru PC polishable concrete topper slab to create the look the design team wanted.
